Kimi is the only female from my first home bred litter and a pup I never planned on keeping, but I happily failed in that plan.  As she grew and developed her character, and what a big personality she is, it became clear that she's a dog that wants to work, being incredibly quick and clever.  More than any of my other dogs, she reminds me of my first Collie, Bronte.  I had initially planned on finding a competition home for her, but as the well ran dry on suitable options, it was apparent that the right home for her was right here, with me.  I describe Kimi as a sweet angel, who has a tiny little devil sitting on one shoulder, she's an absolutely cracking dog.  She loves to learn new things, go to dog club, work with me and being a very active girl, she keeps Seb on his toes at all times.

She's had a couple of tests on sheep and shows sustained interest and her curiosity in my ducks is next level.  As with Seb, I intend to spend more time in the paddocks with her in summer and then commence training in autumn 2025.  Kimi's obedience is coming along really well and I think she will really love Rally Obedience, so that may be on the cards next year.   A little like her mother, she's a born show dog, but not being a heavily coated Rough we'll just have to wait and see what the judges think of her as she gets a little older.  Now ageing out of Baby Puppy class, she is having a little break and will be back in the ring in a month or two.

FUN FACT: Kimi is named after my favourite Formula 1 driver, Kimi Raikkonen.   The theme of the litter is Formula 1, being one of my other loves and Zandee was inseminated on the same day as the 2024 Melbourne Grand Prix.
