Kimi is the only female from my first home bred litter and a pup I never planned on keeping, but I happily failed in that plan.  As she grew and developed her character, and what a big personality she is, it became clear that she's a dog that wants to work, being incredibly quick and clever.  More than any of my other dogs, she reminds me of my first Collie, Bronte.  I had initially planned on finding a competition home for her, but as the well ran dry on suitable options, it was apparent that the right home for her was right here, with me.  I describe Kimi as a sweet angel, who has a tiny little devil sitting on one shoulder, she's an absolutely cracking dog.  She loves to learn new things, go to dog club, work with me and being a very active girl, she keeps Seb on his toes at all times.

She was tested on sheep at six weeks and showed some interest.  Safe to say that interest has developed into full blown obsession and her herding training is progressing nicely.  I hope to enter her in Pre Trial later in 2026.  She is a little workhorse and is currently learning tricks and sprucing up her obedience in readiness for the dog sport entries at the Collie National in July.  Along with Seb, she also loves to run and got her Novice SprintDog title in May on the same day as her brother, being only a few kilometres behind him in speed.

Kimi has had to have a few breaks from the show ring due to her seasons and the impact they have on her coat, but she's had some super results.  In February she was run for Best In Group and finished with a large Best Of Breed and Intermediate In Group under and international judge.

FUN FACT: Kimi is named after my favourite Formula 1 driver, Kimi Raikkonen.   The theme of the litter is Formula 1, being one of my other loves and Zandee was inseminated on the same day as the 2024 Melbourne Grand Prix.
